Homework & Info for 1/4-1/7 01/04/2011
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas break and enjoyed the snow. It sure was hard getting out of bed at 5 AM this morning, but it was necessary. We had a lot to accomplish in math and reading over the next 3 months to finish preparing for the SAT-10 & ARMT tests that are coming up. Please be sure to read the homework sheets each week. We also have a HUGE AL History project coming up. This is a 200 point grade!
Christmas Party Information 12/06/2010
Gift Ideas for Mrs. Cash—Instead of giving me a personal present, I’m going to ask that you buy a game for the classroom or some supplies such as paper, pens, pencils, erasers, etc. for the classroom! Merry Christmas! We have so much going on at school during this time of year! This is just an informational sheet. Please read it and keep it somewhere important. Toy Drive—There are so many families in our area that are struggling through Christmas this year. If you are able, we are asking the children to bring an unwrapped toy for our toy drive. We will be providing Christmas presents to some of the children in the area. Thank you for any help you are able to provide. Christmas Program—The PTO has asked all of the grades to help them put on a Christmas program. Each grade level will be singing a Christmas song. I believe these songs will be performed during the day on Friday, Dec. 10th. I KNOW for sure that PTO is also putting this show on the evening of Friday, Dec. 10th. We need all of the fourth graders here that can come. Christmas Party—Our classroom Christmas party will be Thursday, Dec. 16th at 12:30. We are asking each family to send a wrapped toy ($5-$6) for your child to open the morning of the party. Please see the list below for party refreshment assignments. If you cannot send a refreshment item please try to let me know, that way I can make arrangements to have something else. Friday, Dec. 17th—This is a half day for students. Buses will be dismissing at 11:45. It is up to you whether you would like to send your child to school that day. If you choose to send him/her, please send them with a movie and something to play with. We will not be doing any work for that half day. School will begin again on Jan. 4th.
